Sterlen Roberts new album, which dropped August 30th 2024, highly showcases the artist’s production versatility and range peaked at an amazing #5 on the iTunes Charts first week. With a big release from rapper Big Sean coming in at number one selling 22,000 week sales, Sterlen came in at #5 with 13,000 plus album sales his first week. Sterlen Roberts, still noted as an upcoming artist new self titled release serves as Sterlen’s first official studio album. Seems that the Producer/Rapper has been busy over the last few years, the album seemingly has 27 tracks all for a purchase price of $9.99.
Now 13,000 Album sold and charting at #5 in this current climate of music is a great number for a new artist. It was noted that even the producer of the biggest track of the year Not Like Us “DJ Mustard sold 14,000 albums his first week of sales. It seems that Sterlen definitely has some ears to the street on this album.
Sterlen has worked with many artists such as Jodeci, Luke James, Keyshia, Cole, Lyrica Anderson, Flo- Rida, Flavor Flav, Rico Love, Janet Jackson and many more hence why the album has hints of R&B, Rap and Gospel.
Sterlen who dropped the big song in 2008 featuring Luke James “She Work’s” gained a small but mighty fan base worldwide. The song gained him notoriety, but fell short of being his first big hit. Sterlen later released a song called “Live” featuring Bay Area jazz legend Terri Odabi, which was a noted performance by the two. While it was in the hip-hop genre, it was still nominated for a Bay Area Blues Award. Later in 2017 Sterlen launched his new Record Label “Oakland To Paris Music Group” and released a summertime anthem “Tan Lines”. Since then it seems that Sterlen has been putting all his efforts into releasing a large collection of music at once.
Sterlen took partners with Bungalo Records and Universal Music Group on this current project and now here we are. While we have the full version of the album, we were able to send the preview snippets of Sterlen’s Album around to our listeners and we got lots of interest in the album as a whole. It’s pretty lit. The production and the songs are impressive! We are definitely waiting for tour information.
